Performance Cables
One of the most common issues for manual Porsches is the shift cables—they're bound to break eventually. We designed our Performance Shift Cables as a permanent solution. Our cables are thicker for added strength and have full motion, snap-back-to-center capability, preventing bending and snapping. With billet aluminum rod ends for precise engagement and aluminum bulkheads with stainless steel mounting nuts, our cables eliminate any play. In almost a decade, we've never had a cable break on our customers.
Insulation Tubing and Wrench
We thought of everything when designing our products. While using high-quality billet aluminum, we anticipated potential extra noise from the cabin. To address this, our Transmission Bundle includes rubber silicone tubing that can be spiral cut and wrapped around our cables to dampen unwanted noise. We offer two connection options for the rod ends: plastic insert caps for street cars to avoid metal-on-metal sound, and metal rod ends with a circlip for maximum engagement on track cars. Our cables also feature custom-fit bulkheads that can be tightened precisely with the included Numeric Racing Wrench.

I have a 7-sp 992.1 Porsche 911 and wasn’t crazy about the shift feel but figured I couldn’t do much about it. I saw a note about a Numeric short shift kit on BaT and on an impulse decided to buy the whole thing (shift kit plus cables). I love the result! It transforms the driving experience and elevates shifting. I’m very happy.

Next Level Just picked up my car from having shifter and cables installed. Holy F#@K what a difference… I have a 2019 Carrera T. I purchased your shifter and cables about a year ago when I got the car. The T comes with the same shifter as the GT4 (I believe) which is supposed to be about as good as it gets in the Porsche world. I had held off on the install thinking it would only be a slight improvement and I wasn’t in a huge hurry to drop the $$$ on the install. Holy crap was I wrong. This is some next level shit. Wish I had done this a year ago. BRAVO NUMERIC. Job very well done!!!

Absolutely Amazing I had my mechanic install my numeric short shifter and cables in January this year and have put about 1000 miles on my 911 C4S since and it has been absolutely amazing. The shifts have been super precise and tight with that rifle bolt action I was looking for. Literally, the best shifter I have ever used!
Best Mod I've done The shifter/cable upgrade is by far my favorite mod I've done to enhance the driving experience on this car. And that is even after 4 years of driving and moding my car!
Amazing Compared to the stock shifter, it is more precise, has a much clearer feel as to what gear you're in, and what gear you're going into. It feels almost like a gated shifter with rifle-bolt action. The distance between gears is very short, and the shifter height is lower and feels more natural. It does require a bit more effort to change gears, though the precision is worth it. Hope that helps someone with a decision. I can't more highly recommend the Numeric Shift kit.
Must Do Mod I just got the numeric short shifter installed along with their cables for my 991. I am in heaven. Crisp, mechanical, short, you can’t ask for anymore. Definitely must do mod!!
Brilliant! I'm sure you guys have plenty of feedback from customers on the cables/Shortshifter kit, but I just wanted to pile on with one more "Holy Cow this is how my Porsche should feeeeeeeel when I'm rowing through the gears"! I'm an old man who waited far too long before I fetched my first Porsche. It's an older base model (987.1), but low mileage, and I am feeling stupid for not doing it sooner. My only gripe, and it's a substantial one, is that compared to some other cars I have, namely a well sorted Mazdarati :) ND Miata, the Porsche shifting was a very unexpected disappointment. How can such an amazing car fall that short? Not anymore! Absolutely transforming. Brilliant, in fact. A real joy to click-click.

I love the Numeric Products Easy install, and the drive to work was so wonderful! Can't say enough about the quality of the products from Numeric Racing! 2mm spring spec, noticeable increase in stiffness, but not in effort. Very tactile, also the 1-2 shift felt much less sloppy. and this is all saying alot because the stock 991.2 GT3 shift was magical. Very very happy customer again!

Feels Amazing I installed the Numeric shifter and cables in my car last week. I went with the 2 mm spring. It completely transforms the feeling behind the wheel. I don't find the 2 mm spring too stiff but didn't try the 1,5 mm. For sure it is stiffer than stock.

Wow I got the shifter installed yesterday, and WOW!!! What a difference! It's really incredible. So tight and precise. I was a bit skeptical that this was worth the money, but not anymore. Just and amazing feel.
Worth it! If you are a DIY guy, this is an easy job. and you will save a lot of money. It does take time. Now, after all of this my final verdict is that the numeric system is bad ass and is a must do modification. Porsche should make this Numeric shifter unit standard in the future models. I love driving a manual and feeling the car. Its engaging and this system will give you the feel you want with the option to alter your shift height. It is expensive for the cables and the shifter, However it is a modification that you instantly feel.
Love it! Great shifter, installed it with the numeric racing shift cables. Five star product, medium-level installation effort. Advantages: Short throw, bearings instead of bushings and super high quality materials. Will never go back to a stock shifter
I give 5/5 of feel -- my 992.1 shifter was smooth, but light and a little bit rubbery feeling. Compared to the nice firm feel of the car on the road, this just didn't seem quite right. Well the numeric racing shifter fixed this. I ordered the cables, but the install of that is more involved, so I just went with the shifter at first - I'm happy at this point. If my cables break in the future i'll see how these feel together at that time. Its worth knowing some might want to get with just the 1mm stiffer spring, but I really appreciate the heavier shift feel - its now very strong and mechanical.
